I believe that there is true love. I think that there is somebody for everyone you just have to find them. Like in the video Fred and Loraine were married for 75 years until she died. So Fred wrote her a song in her memory. I think that is true love. I believe that there needs to be more couples out there like Fred and Loraine. I think that true love is that they stick together through everything together. True love is that you love them for them and don’t try to change them into something that they’re not. In the video Fred sent in the song he wrote and a person read it and made the song come to life for him. When Fred heard it for the first time he was blown away and that’s what I think that is a very cool moment. I think that if you want love to work out then you will have to do stuff that the other person likes to do and they should do the same in return. Also love is about is something that only you your family and your wife/husband share. I believe that there is love at first site, because there is a natural pull that you two have that will bring you together forever. You won’t know who that is until you find her. That’s what I think love is.
Epic hero trait Beowulf
-noble birth -father was king -brave -defeated multiple enemies -courageous -takes on difficult tasks -selfless/noble -helps protect people I think he has the traits of an epic hero because he a he defeats evil, He had a noble birth, he is brave, he is courageous and he is selfless. He defeats Grendel and his mother. I think that Grendel was a worse monster because he killed the Danes just because the music was too loud and he wanted to. The mother killed the Danes Beowulf kills her son. After Grendel is killed and Grendel's mother attacks Heorot in revenge, Beowulf goes into her cave under a lake, where Grendel's mother almost defeats Beowulf until he uses a sword and that doesn’t work, and then he sees a magic sword, with which he kills her and beheads the dead Grendel. So I think that she had more of a reason to kill the Danes than Grendel did because he didn’t like the music and killed them. But she killed them because Beowulf killed her son. So in a way they are both at the fault for killing people. Beowulf just wanted to help and stop them from killing any more people.
I think that you probably won't use most of the math you are taught later in your life, but school teaches you more than just subjects. School helps you learn relationship skills, teaches you how to respect authority, helps you create relationship; learn basic skills like reading, writing, and math. School teaches you history, which is important because if you ignore history, it will repeat itself. But at the same time I think that in high school we should have more field trips, which we can go outside of school and learn from real life situations. The reason I say that is that you can throw a textbook in front of us and have us read a lot about something and take a bunch of test and quizzes, and have us forget about it in a couple of days, “or” you could have a field trip and have us see where we are going to actually use the material that we are taught. I bet that most of the stuff we do in school, lots of people that have good jobs don’t even use. I say that if we could go on trips we could learn a lot more, than just taking tests and quizzes that we will forget about in a couple of days, because if you see someone doing something in real life you will actually see where you will use the material that you were taught in school. That’s what I have to say about the schooling.
1: Why does Beowulf journey across the sea to the land of the Danes? He went over to kill Grendel.
2: How does Beowulf trap and kill Grendel? He baited him then strangled him and ripped his arm off. 3: What drives Grendel to attack so many men at Herot? He didn’t like the music, he just liked killing. 4: why does Beowulf hang Grendel’s arm from the rafters of Herot? His arm showed a symbol that Beowulf won. Grendel is a monster that attacks the Danes. He attacked the Danes because he didn't like the music they were playing so he started killing them, and he started to like killing them and didn’t stop. That went on for 12 years. He just killed them for fun even though they were just playing music. That’s when Beowulf comes in and is trying to kill Grendel. Beowulf is a hero, he is courageous, he has defeated many monsters, he had a noble birth, and he is a great warrior. Beowulf is the opposite of Grendel by many different things, like he is selfless; he will help out anyone in need. Grendel is just a bad monster that likes to kill and he doesn’t care he just kills because the Danes played music. Grendel lives far away from civilization and Beowulf lives around everyday people. In the end Grendel and Beowulf fight to the death.
I think evil is bad. Some real life examples that I think is evil are ghosts, demons, or could be the bad guy in a movie. Do I think monsters exist? I would say that monsters could be real, like deep sea creatures could be down there. I think that ghosts are real, or at least spirits of people exist. evil is anything that causes harm. It can range from a nightmare to something in real life. evil will always be defeated by good because good will always win, like a good guy in a movie defeats the bad guy and saves the day. Evil hides in the darkness waiting for something for it to attack. There is either heaven or hell. God will always save us from bad a thing that’s what I think; praying and being a good person will always defeat evil.
What makes a true hero? I say a true hero is someone that you can look up to for advice or just someone to talk to. There are super heroes that save the day and there are ordinary everyday people heroes that help people in need. For example spider man is a hero in New York City that stops bad guys from terrorizing the city. There are people that you could say are heroes by saving a cat that is stuck up a tree. Everyone has their own hero they look up to and that’s a good thing. Like if you wanted to be the best at a sport, your hero could be a professional sports player, and you could work your way up to be the best to. That's what I think a hero is.
I say life controls your fate. I don’t think fate controls your life because you don’t know what’s going to happen in the future. At the same time god is the only one that will know your true fate. He is always there for you and he watches over you, but no matter what he will always know what your fate is. So to me it could go ether way. You probably don’t know that your fate is but try new things and explore possibilities if you are given those chances. Your fate could be changed today or in the future depending on what you do in your life. Like for example if you try new things your fate could turn out good. If you do something bad then your future could turn out bad. Its what you do with your life that will determine your fate. And that’s what I think of what fate is. In life I think that having a good personality and a good attitude are some good qualities to have. I say that if you want someone to like you that you have to give respect in order to receive it. For me I try to have a good attitude towards others. I believe that family comes first, and going to church is something people should go to. I like to go on mission trips with my church to places that need help and help the people in that community the best we can. I think what is life if no one can get along and we should try harder to make sure that everyone is included with whatever it is. I watched Mr. Wrights video of how he makes others feel good about themselves and they can go to him for anything. As that video went along I discovered he had a son with a rare disease that he was weal chair bound and Mr. Wright did everything for him. He thought he was blind but his daughter put a stuffed animal in front of him and Mr. Wright saw him hit it away and found out that he wasn’t blind after all. I thought that would be cool to see that and realize that he wasn’t blind anymore.
